First Baptist Newport

Campus Relocation

Newport, TN

Currently in design development, the project includes several separate structures including the main building, the youth building with attached pavilion, and covered drive through canopies and pedestrian canopies connecting the two primary structures.

The main building, consisting of 24,343 square feet, includes a large two story fellowship entry lobby; administrative offices; classrooms for adults, youth, children and nursery; a preschool weekday program; commercial kitchen and serving area, bookstore and library, choir and handbell practice areas, and a flexible worship area that can be used for traditional Sunday services or for multipurpose training, banquet, and fellowship events.

The other primary, 6,225 square foot, structure can be used for recreation or youth assemblies.  Attached to this structure is a covered pavilion for outside picnics, receptions, and assembly activities.

In addition to site parking, an outdoor prayer garden and separate wedding garden are provided on the five acre site.  The site affords a 360 degree panoramic view of the community it intends to serve.  The unique steeple feature should be visible from miles away.

Community Tectonics also provided a master plan for a future chapel and expanded classroom and worship space.
