2nd Place TSBA School of the Year Award Winner – 2004 High School New Construction
This facility replaced Greene County’s oldest high school building. With future expansion in mind, this facility was designed to accommodate growth with common areas capable of serving a 250-student increase when additional classrooms are added.
Features of the new design include: a 1,500 seat gymnasium, 250 seat cafeteria, a multi-purpose area with fixed seating to accommodate 500, 31 classrooms, 3 science labs, a media center, administrative suite and centralized teacher planning area. Classrooms are organized in a grade-level plan that groups 9th and 10th grades in one wing and 11th and 12th grades in another wing.
Athletic facilities include a full-sized gymnasium, football stadium, and other athletic fields for baseball, softball, soccer, tennis, and track.
