The Cal Johnson recreational facility is located in the heart of Downtown Knoxville, TN.  Originally constructed in the 1950’s, the one-story building with a partial basement contains approximately 11,228 square feet. 

The total renovation, completed in May 2020, includes reconfigured space to create a more current and open design.  The renovated spaces include a large multipurpose room and a gym area with added accessible family restrooms.  The mezzanine area near the gym was opened up, two new activity rooms were constructed, and improvements were made to the kitchen.
